We will house you in our dorms with other students. Depending on the size of school, you can expect a few roommates. We have a community environment where you will share everyday experiences with classmates and staff – whether that is during mealtimes, work duties, group worship, outreach activities.
We believe that living in community gives us opportunities to not just learn the principles of serving and loving one another, but also to live them out authentically.

The Shan people of Southeast Asia are a key focus for YWAM Sheep River. SOME at YWAM Sheep River is focused on the Middle East as well.
In the School of Missions and Evangelism (SOME), we invite you, the student, to pray and ask God where to go as a group in the Middle East. While the school leaders spend time in prayer before the school begins, we must seek direction from God together.
The 10-12 week mission trip is centred on sharing the gospel in different contexts. Both students and staff work together to develop the outreach plan, working together on the budget, travel arrangements, vision/mission statement, outreach goals, contacting/finding ministries, visa processes, and more.
We believe the best way to learn is by doing, through shared experiences, practical application, and intentional teamwork.

As a gifted artist, Subarna puts her craft to work in all she does at YWAM Sheep River. Her creativity can be observed in promotional material, aesthetics care of the facility and support raising. Though her heart is set overseas on evangelism and church growth in the Middle East, she has capably run accounts and kitchen here at home in YWAM Sheep River. A day doesn’t go by when her life-giving laughter isn’t heard in our office.
